19.07.2007 - MCEDEV AND AD NOTAM BRING THE MEDIA CENTER IN TO THE KITCHEN

Most users place their Media Center systems in the living room and the bed room, MCEDev and ad notam are now targeting the kitchen. The idea is simply – why not use the powerful Media Center platform in the kitchen? Watch news, your favourite episodes or let the Media Center play some music while you’re cooking.

While listening to some music or watching TV is fun – you can really benefit from the Media Center platform if you have applications specifically developed for the kitchen. This is where ad notam and MCEDev make a difference. We’re now expanding the environment of the Media Center – you can really benefit from it in the kitchen.

What would be the most interesting application for a kitchen? Correct - a cookbook. Back in 2006 ad notam contacted us (MCEDev) and told us that they’re already selling Media Center systems built-in kitchen furniture’s! This was pretty interesting – there are people who really have a Media Center in their kitchen. A few weeks later the first ideas came up about an interactive cookbook which should not only list some recipes – it should help you preparing before you’re cooking, let you walk through the recipe step by step (incl. describing photos and videos) and even help you to choose the right drinks for the specific meal.

ad notam builds mirror displays which fit perfect into the kitchen environment since if the display has no signal its surface becomes a mirror. So if you don’t turn on the Media Center, it will just look like an ordinary kitchen.

On June 30th MCE-Community.de and Microsoft hosted a Media Center event where MCEDev presented a first preview of the interactive cookbook. The Application is about to be done. But enough said, take a look at the pictures to get a first impression.
