MCEDev started back in 2005 when the first project MCE Customizer started to become popular with tousands of users and appearances in magazins all over the world.

However, MCE Customizer was just the first step - MCEDev was clearly focused on system- and tuning-tools for Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows Vista Media Center. In 2007 MCEDev started to develop applications in different categories, which gained the interest of System Builders and OEMs.
